RH833 Benjamin Smith Footed Salver Tray

An exquisite antique sterling silver tray dated 1825 by Benjamin Smith II. Hallmarked on the back of the tray and on the bezel holding the cast border. The inscription is hand engraved and the crest and details show remarkable engraving skills. The cast border incorporates a grape motif with faces and neo classical dancing female figures. The three cast feet have a central mask with hoofed textured feet.
